A Fresher, Better You: NY Fashion Studio

Does NY Fashion Studio have ties to the Big Apple? Nope. The “NY” actually stands for “New You” – as in helping you achieve a fresher, better you – with name-brand apparel for both men and women, bespoke tailoring and image consulting services. Their inventory runs the gamut from up-and-coming to high-end labels, including Balenciaga, Levi’s, Yohji Yamamoto, Viktor & Rolf and even (unfortunately) Ed Hardy.

For men, there’s an admirable selection of sneakers, graphic tees and denim – check out the rack of T-shirts by Japanese brand Number (N)ine (from RMB 1,200) and jeans by Evisu (from RMB 685).

Women have their pick of casual daywear to evening dresses, and don’t even get us started on the shoes. A pair of Givenchy lace-up ankle booties is currently selling for RMB 4,999 – a real steal, considering their original price of RMB 8,631 on Net-a-porter.com.

Some glitzy junk pops up here and there, but the hidden gems make the extra rummaging well worth the trip.
