项目简介

文化主导的可持续发展在城市研究中普遍存在争议。本研究旨在通过全球各个城市的案例来探讨文化因素在实现可持续城市发展过程中的角色。该研究包括三个部分：1）学习并理解文化因素与可持续城市发展不可分割性的理论，探索城市发展过程中的文化因素，研究文化引导的可持续发展方法；2）掌握理论教学中关键的定性研究策略和方法；3）通过研讨会来制定论文主题和结构并最终完善为可发表的论文。

Culture-led sustainable development has been increasingly debated in urban studies. This study aims to examine the role of culture in the process of reaching sustainability via global cases. The project comprises three parts: 1) theory taught to understand ‘the inseparability of culture and sustainability’, to explore ‘culture in urban development agendas’, and to examine ‘culture-led approaches to sustainability’; 2) theory taught to understand key qualitative research strategies and methods; 3) workshop discussion, working with students to co-develop tailored topic, structure, and paperwork for publications.

课程安排

本课程中文授课，以三个形式展开：Lecture-理论讲授课程；Workshop-工作坊，导师和两位小组成员基于各自研究主题进行发展与针对性知识延伸；Review为导师阶段性评审，由学生进行汇报，导师进行提问与进一步项目推进建议。

1. An introduction to the academic research as a whole (the roadmap) and as parts (key marking points and tips of completion for each section).

2. How to quickly get useful information of papers (scan and summarise).

3. How to critical review literature (get your critical engagement with the readings).

4. How to set up argument and illustrate it clearly.

5. Practice: literature credibility assessment; case papers practicing the reading and criticizing skills.

Constructing Culture-led Sustainable Development

1. 文化和城市可持续发展是如何相互联系、共同发展和相互影响的？

2. 哪些因素促进了这种“整合（文化+城市可持续发展）”的进展？

3. 练习：根据所获得的信息和论点建立技巧（课时1-2），草拟文化导向的城市可持续发展的理解。
