After the tragic death of his parents, high school graduate Jonas lives on a North Sea island with his grandfather. It is a time of departure, the time of the first great love. The arrival of the new, young German teacher Helena turns Jonas' life completely upside down. She recognizes and encourages his writing talent and uses this emerging trust to build an intimate relationship with him. However, Jonas has no idea that Helena is pursuing a deadly plan. Black Island is a multi-layered thriller that tells of the disastrous relationship between a student and his teacher.

T T Average German movie...not bad. The scenery is beautiful. Germany is a beautiful country. It's nice to watch and be exposed to different movie styles from different countries. The biggest problem is the slow/snail's pace of development of the movie. Things only picked up in the last 30 minutes. Alice Dwyer (Helena) is the only talented/serious actor here. She did a very good job. The other actors gave average performances at best. Overall, this is a watchable movie, but just to pass time. The only reason this gets a 3/5 is because of Alice Dwyer (Helena). Otherwise, it doesn't really deserve more than a 2.5/5. O roteiro 茅 pobre e extremamente mal escrito, as mortes s茫o for莽adas e sem sentido, tem v谩rias cenas de um mal gosto INEXPLIC脕VEL como uma morte em uma escola cheia onde a assassina carrega o corpo pelos corredores e ningu茅m nota (a mais bizarra pra mim), uma cena de invas茫o domiciliar seguida de abuso sexual em que o filme tenta justificar como normal (quase t茫o bizarra quanto), entre quase todas as outras mortes galhofas do filme e cenas que tentam ser sensuais mas falham miseravelmente. A dire莽茫o 茅 p茅ssima, o roteiro pior ainda (como d谩 pra perceber), as atua莽玫es s茫o amadoras e ap谩ticas (com exce莽茫o da atriz que interpreta a Nina), os personagens s茫o muito mal constru铆dos, detest谩veis (principalmente o protagonista) e nenhum deles desperta a simpatia do espectador (de novo, com exce莽茫o da Nina), o plot twist 茅 at茅 interessante, mas s贸 piora tudo porque revela que toda aquela trama parte de uma vingan莽a totalmente desproporcional. O filme n茫o tem absolutamente NADA de bom, com exce莽茫o da fotografia e da ambienta莽茫o - parece que esses foram os 煤nicos profissionais que resolveram trabalhar bem nessa produ莽茫o.
