KOKIA announces her new album Gin no kitsune to kin no koucha o (‘Golden tea with a silver fox’) has started shipping from Japan. The main song from the album, Maigo no watashi wa gin no kitsune to kin no koucha o (’I would have golden tea with a silver fox during being lost’) is available for streaming and talks about a 'masquerade she's dreaming of', referring to her cancelled 2020 Masquerade concert, which would have been held at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall.

KOKIA quietly releases another digital single, Kisetsu hazure no sakura ('Late blooming Cherry blossoms'), from her latest album. It is available for purchasing and streaming via various sources. It performs well, hitting #1 in the J-pop ranking in Turkey.

On this day, KOKIA's second-ever paid stream concert 'History of my pieces' started streaming. It's an unique concert, as this is the very first time she is only performing songs she has sung for tie-in projects, like character songs or ending thems for games and series.
The stream is received well and returns for a rerun on July 30.
August 1, 2022
Since it was impossible for Chinese fans to watch the stream of 'History of my pieces', KOKIA releases the recording on Blu-ray via her Chinese web shop Masadora.

Animal CD vol.4

After some delays, KOKIA releases her fourth Animal CD album on this date (although shipping doesn't start until October). Originally, she put the Octopus on the cover, but she eventually decided on the Tiger. Fitting, as it's the Year of the Tiger.
Luckily, the Octopus still gets its time in the limelight as KOKIA releases the single Tako - mission complete - ('Octopus') digitally, available via various sources.
The Animal Kingdom vol.1

More animal news as KOKIA's first Animal CD gets retired from its physical release and moves to an exclusively digital release. Although not her own preferred medium, she hopes this will give people around the world an easier chance to listen to her songs.

This marks stage 2, after an initial pre-sale that was only available for members of club ancoro. In this stage, everyone can apply to enter the lottery for a chance to win a seat reservation.

Time for another Monthly Viewing Party! This time, KOKIA streams her 2010 concert oto no tabibito ('sound traveler') on her official YouTube channel! This concert tour was held in honor of her then recently released album REAL WORLD, with many of the songs from the album making an appearance. KOKIA chimes in in the chat, mentioning how the dress she wore had been dyed with curry (!), and how this was the only time she performed the song Jugon no sora ('sky of dugong') live.

It's part 2 of her original PIECES album, which came out in 2011. Like the first part, this volume collects songs KOKIA has written and performed as tie-ins for games etc., though it also features a previously unreleased song, Kono yo ga owaru sono mae ni ('before the end of this world').
