Obituary

FITZPATRICK. Dr. Andrew J. Fitzpatrick, retired U.S. Army Major, died June 9 at the Hidden Dream Ranch, his horse farm in Mira Loma, Calif., after a long illness, Dr. Fitzpatrick, formerly of Middletown, is the son of Nella (Fraulino) Fitzpatrick of Middletown, and the late Louis J. Fitzpatrick. Dr. Fitzpatrick was a graduate of Georgetown University, and Georgetown University Medical School, and completed his internship at Tripler Army Medical Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii. Prior to his death, Dr. Fitzpatrick was affiliated with Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, California, where he served as family physician for a number of years. Dr. Fitzpatrick was a member of the California Medical Association and was an avid lover of horses, and the recipient of numerous honors in carriage horse competition. Besides his mother, Dr. Fitzpatrick is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Anne of Seattle, Wash., and Mary Sheila of Riverside, Calf.; and a brother, Richard M. Fitzpatrick of Medfield, Mass. Private funeral service will be at Arlington National Cemetery where Dr. Fitzpatrick will be laid to rest beside his late wife, the former Judith (Tolson) Fitzpatrick.
