Wayfair adds to bricks expansion with opening of 2nd Joss & Main store

Boston – Wayfair’s deliberative entry into physical store retailing took another step forward this week with a new location for its contemporary Joss & Main brand.

The 2^nd Joss & Main retail store is sited at the Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, Ill., in suburban Chicago. The store’s design was inspired by marketplaces and bazaars from around the world, referencing the grand arches of marketplace arcades.

Surrounding the central “marketplace,” the store features seasonal trend capsules. The current capsule is Refined Retreat from Joss & Main’s Summer Edit, which offers the brand’s take on coastal blue and white.

In addition to shopping hundreds of products in store to take home same-day, customers can also access alternative styles, colors and materials through the  Joss & Main mobile app, mobile web, or on a tablet in-store with the help of an associate.

The on-site Joss & Main Design Studio is staffed with experts who can provide free design advice and inspiration. The Studio also provides swatches and other tactile elements shoppers can take home with them.

Wayfair opened its first bricks & mortar locations last year. They include the AllModern stores in Lynnfield, Mass. Aand Dedham, Mass. As well as the first Joss & Main store in Burlington, Mass.

Wayfair launched the Joss & Main e-commerce platform in 2011.
