Alisa gameplay trailer revealed for Tekken 8

Bandai Namco returns with another exciting Tekken 8 gameplay trailer. This time, chainsaw wielding android Alisa Bosconovitch gets her time in the spotlight.

At this time, fans are aware of all 32 of the characters set to be available at launch. Though Bandai Namco has previously unveiled everyone, we are now seeing full gameplay trailers for some of the fighters who didn't previously get them — this time Alisa gets the gameplay trailer treatment.

Alisa Bosconovitch is an android who was designed for the sole purpose of protecting Jin Kazama, the former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu. According to the character's official description on the Tekken 8 website, Alisa's control over her actions was temporarily overridden by her master, and she was forced to attack Lars in a battle to the death.

Because of her feelings for Lars, her systems shut down. However, thanks to the efforts of Lars and others, Alisa was rebooted and is now a part of the rebel army.

Here in Tekken 8, Alisa fights utilizing a similar style to what we've seen of her in the past. She uses retractable chainsaw blades on her arms for long-range, multi-hitting attacks, and the thrusters on her back help her maneuver around the screen and add more oomph to some of her moves.

This gameplay trailer showcases some of Alisa's new techniques while using Tekken 8's Heat System as well. We see her land a spinning dive kick that looks like it can be done very close to the ground, and it ends with a large Flash Kick type move that sends the opponent flying backward.

Her powerful Rage Art sees the android slash the opponent with her chainsaw arm up into the air, fly and follow them up, then spike them back down with another swipe of her saws. For the big finish, Alisa removes her head and kicks it straight down into the opponent's gut, which sends them flying and explodes in a large cloud of smoke.

Tekken 8 is set for release on January 26. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
