Recent changes in Chinese family life
With the rapid development of economics and the impact of the various cultures and other social factors, there have been great changes in Chinese families between two generations.
In my childhood when I lived in the countryside, it was pretty common that a whole family sat together outside the house talking and watching the moon and starry sky, sometimes with neighbors, it’s harmonious and happy. Because many adult children studied and worked near their parents ,the whole family could often have dinner together and share the interesting things they encountered in the daily life, parents’encourage and love was essential for children to eliminate everyday tiredness ,and no matter how rough their lives were and how big problems they met, for them ,family was a warm harbor full of warmth .For parents, they could share children’s happiness and sadness, watch children growing up day by day, the sense of existence was very important for older and older parents, which prevents them from painful loneliness. At that time, whatever the poor or the wealthy they lived for their children or their parents , people put the family in the first place.
On the contrary, nowadays the majority of the adult children studied and worked thousands of miles away from their parents, even in the different provinces. Everything becomes digital, they express their love and care to their parents by means of e-mails, telephones, chatting-on-line
and electronic cards. Moreover, most parents don’t know how to use computers ,so most of them only can see their children in Spring Festive .At the same time, people have bigger and bigger working pressure, they always put their depression into their heart rather than talking them with parents ,many times they just ask parents whether they have dinner or how the weather is in parents’ city and have nothing else to say. People pay great attention to their career, fame and wealth and live in a tired way, but where is the position of family in their hearts, do they often think about whether their parents are happy, whether their parents are lonely, whether their parents need their care……
For me, with the development of economics we are living better and better is a good thing, but we should make great effort to find time for our family, for our parents ,communicate with them ,care them. they need us and are unique to us. And the whole life they lived for us, just thinking about why we live ,for what ,for who?
