1. bite the bullet 

（bite the bullet = make yourself do something difficult or unpleasant：让自己做一些困难的或不愉快的事情）

英文解释：It is believed that in the past, when soldiers on the battlefield had to have surgery without anesthesia, they bit a bullet to help them endure the pain - so today the idiom "bite the bullet" means to force yourself to do something you don't want to do - or something you have been delaying for a long time. 人们认为，过去士兵在战场上不得不在没有麻醉的情况下做手术，他们就咬子弹来帮助他们忍受痛苦——所以今天的成语“bite the bullet”的意思是强迫自己做不想做的事——或者你拖延了很久的事情。

2. stick to your guns

英文解释：If a soldier is being attacked by enemies, but he "sticks to" (stays with) his gun instead of running away, he is being firm and courageous.
