OMNIVISION has unveiled its 1.3-megapixel OX01E20 automotive SoC for 360-degree surround view systems and rear-view cameras. During an announcement at CES 2023, OMNIVISION said the OX01E20 is pin2pin compatible with current-generation 1.3MP designs, providing top-of-the-line LED flicker mitigation and 140db high dynamic range across the entire automotive temperature gamut.

OX01E20 Specifications & Performance
The OX01E20 was engineered to provide optimum performance for surround-view systems and rear-view cameras, especially with regard to challenging lighting conditions. Key OX01E20 features include a single 1/4-inch optical format package, a three-micron image sensor, an advanced image signal processor, full-featured distortion correction/perspective correction, and an on-screen display.
By leveraging its PureCel Plus architecture, OMNIVISION said the OX01E20 delivers ideal signal-to-noise ratio performance, a compact form factor, lower power consumption, and lower cost. (OMNIVISION’s PureCel Plus-S stacked die technology is also at the heart of the OX03D4C, a three-megapixel resolution SoC for automotive surround-view systems, announced during CES 2022).

The OX01E20 is ASIL-B safety compliant. It is sampling now and will be in mass production in June 2023.
