«Design capacity» is the capacity your battery should have, when it left the factory. As battery manufacturing is still a more or less chemical process, it may be higher (congratulations) or lower when it is put into your MacBook.

iOS uses a defensive calculated battery capacity value to define 100% (and the percentage calculation). coconutBattery reads out the raw battery data and can give you more precise information.

What is the «Lifetime used» of my SSD shown in the Advanced Viewer for my Mac?

Cells inside current SSD devices can only be written a finite amount of time.
To make sure the drive will hold as long as possible the all SSD devices contain an intelligent firmware which is distributing writes evenly across the drive.
These algorithms are monitoring any write activity and are calculating a so called «Wear Level» or «Lifetime used» value which is an indicator of the remaining endurance of the drive (i.e. if 10% of the SSD lifetime has been used this means that the drive as reached 10% of its estimated lifespan)

A «Lifetime used» of 100% does not indicate imminent drive failure but is a good indicator of overall health of the drive.

My iOS device isn’t available in coconutBattery Plus via Wi-Fi. How do I enable Wi-Fi sync in iTunes?

Как проверить % износа батареи iPhone. Сколько у тебя?

После волны противоречивых мнений читателей по поводу подборки советов Эдуарда Саркисяна, как продлить срок службы аккумулятора iPhone, проверил износ своего.

За 163 дня после активации и 140 полных циклов зарядки-разрядки состояние аккумулятора моей 7-ки отличное. А емкость доходит до 98% заявленной.

При этом я:

Battery Pro (для iOS)

Мобильное приложение выглядит неказисто и не отличается точностью измерений. Оно утверждает, что аккумулятор моего iPhone в идеальном состоянии — 0,0% износа.

При этом определяет остаточную емкость на уровне 2000/2000 мАч (напомню, вообще в iPhone 7 — 1950 мАч).

Кроме этого здесь есть данные об источнике заряда, которая похожа на правду, определение времени работы девайса и другая дополнительная информация.

Рекомендую использовать это приложение только, если под рукой нет Mac для более точных тестов.

coconut Battery (для macOS)

В моем понимании это лучшее приложение для определения уровня износа аккумулятора iPhone, ознакомиться с которым можно на вкладке iOS Device.

Здесь можно увидеть количество полных циклов зарядки-разрядки (после 500 специалисты рекомендуют менять батарейку), остаточную емкость (смотрите на Maximum Charge) и другие данные.

По этой информации я и ориентируюсь о последствиях своих «вредных привычек» обращения с iPhone — понизил уровень до 98%.

Это приложение также интересно для диагностики аккумулятора MacBook — за полтора года сверхинтенсивного использования я «убил» свой до 92% заявленной емкости.

iBackupBot (для Windows)

Данные этого «страшного» приложения, которое рекомендую пользователям Windows за неимением coconut Battery, не совпадают с предыдущими.

Это странно — здесь вообще утверждают, что я могу зарядить iPhone до 2000 мАч из 1950 возможных. Но я предлагаю воспринимать это как идеальное состояние аккумулятора.

Получить доступ к информации можно в меню More Information. Смотрите на DesignCapacity — это заявленная емкость, FullChargeCapacity — это состояние аккумулятора сегодня.

В итоге:

Почти за полгода интенсивного использования два из трех тестов говорят об идеальном состоянии аккумулятора моего iPhone 7, а один о падении емкости на 2%.

По этому случаю, чтобы расставить все на свои места, предлагаю небольшой интерактив: давайте все вместе проверим батарейки iPhone и расскажем об их износе и своих «вредных привычках» в комментариях.

Как ухаживать за аккумулятором в iPhone и Mac

…Эпоха Ni-Mh (никель-металлогидридные) аккумуляторов закончилась. Li-ion (литий-ионные) модификации получили максимальное распространение в портативной электронике. И случилось это не на пустом месте, а благодаря отличным эксплуатационным характеристикам. Они позволили решить проблему обеспечения автономности потребительской электроники, несмотря на пользовательское нежелание учиться правильно эксплуатировать источники питания.

В отличие от Ni-Mh моделей, аккумуляторы с ионами лития в электроде имеют следующие преимущества:

Основным преимуществом на этапе появления технологии считалось отсутствие эффекта памяти. Это резко повышало сроки эксплуатации устройства нерадивыми пользователями.

Несмотря на лояльность к потребительской неосведомленности, при правильном уходе источники питания Li-ion могут прослужить значительно дольше.

1. Хранение

Если аккумулятор придётся хранить длительное время, стоит оставить заряд элемента питания на уровне 50%. При этом раз в полгода производите операцию перезагрузки:

Это позволит избежать полного разряда и позволит хранить его в оптимальном режиме, — 30–50% заряда от номинала.

Саму батарею лучше оставить в прохладном месте, при температуре около нуля. Объясняется это меньшим уровнем саморазряда. Но не стоит выносить её в отрицательные зоны, это смертельно для Li-Ion источников питания, так как при отрицательных температурах скорость потери заряда резко увеличивается.

Помните, аккумулятор в любом случае теряет полезную емкость, поэтому запасать их впрок бессмысленно. Через пару лет у него всё равно останется около 90% от паспортных показателей.

2. Зарядка

Заряжать Li-Ion аккумуляторы можно в любое время, не дожидаясь низкого разряда. Именно об этом нам постоянно говорят. Но времена изменились. 14 апреля 2013 года ученые из швейцарского Института Пола Шеррера, доказали, что эффект памяти присущ и Li-Ion АКБ.

Конечно, он менее выражен, чем у батарей Ni-Mh или Ni-Cd, поэтому не так заметен при повседневном использовании.

Но это является звоночком для обывателей. Для нивелирования эффекта соблюдайте простейшие правила:

3. Эксплуатация

Недостаточно заряжать аккумулятор правильно. Важно оберегать его от слишком агрессивного воздействия окружающей среды.

Li-Ion батареи очень не любят температуру, отличающуюся от комнатной. На холоде происходит быстрый разряд. Кто замечал, как быстро iPhone садится на улице зимой, в минус 20°С, ставим лайк, зачем расстраивать Никиту. А когда столбик термометра зашкаливает за 30°С, то происходит локальный перегрев, который начинает убивать саму батарею, стремительно понижая её полезную емкость.

Просмотр расширенной информации по элементу питания позволит принять верное решение при покупке Б/У-техники Apple. Если ноутбук старше 2-х лет, будьте готовы к замене АКБ. При покупке новой техники, тоже не мешает провести проверку. Вдруг именно этот экземпляр пролежал на складе слишком долго.

На вкладке История можно фиксировать текущие показания батареи, выгружать их в Web и сравнивать с другими пользователями утилиты. Делая соответствующие выводы, о том, насколько правильно вы эксплуатировали гаджет.

Я оказался не самым аккуратным и проинформированным пользователем, поэтому пожинаю плоды своей халатности. Мой старенький MBA с трудом держит заряд более 3-х часов.

Последняя вкладка iOS Device, показывает состояние АКБ подключенного телефона или планшета. К сожалению, пока нельзя выгрузить данные в Web и сравнить с другими пользователями.
