WHAT MAKES THE PYKRS JACKET UNIQUE
We have carefully observed and analyzed hundreds of different jackets to design and improve our PYKRS jacket. Below are some of our findings:

THE PYKRS APP
We’ve developed an app both for iOS and Android. This Jacket allows you to both configure and control your jacket remotely in just one place. Easy and intuitive, it’s the best assistant for your next adventure!
HEATING SYSTEM BUILT IN YOUR JACKET
Even though we use one of the warmest and most sustainable padding in the industry (Thermore™ EcoDown®), the PYKRS jacket includes a heating system controllable from the PYRKS app, so you are protected even in the coldest days and nights.
HEATING PADS
We placed 3x heating pads strategically inside the jacket. These heating pads will act as an extra layer of protection and will only trigger when you decide. They are placed relatively low since heat tends to move upwards.
We’ve designed three different heat levels; controllable from the PYKRS app, to warm you even in the toughest conditions, well under 0º C / 32º F. Your body’s own heat plus our heating panel plus our highly insulating padding will ensure a warm journey forward.
SMART LIGHTING SYSTEM
Be seen in the dark is important, especially if you are on the move! Either on your way back from a long journey of mountain ski or from the office; the PYKRS jacket makes you more visible then ever!
LIGHT PANELS
The PYKRS jacket includes four light panels in total, two at the front and two at the back, so you can be seen from anywhere. Their slick design and lightweight properties makes you quickly forget you’re wearing them.
In addition, these lights are highly resistant, very energy efficient and can be washed over 50x times as they are fully seamed and vacuum packed.
The lighting system can be used both as an emergency tool in the event of an accident or as a warning signal for you to commute securely at dawn.
They are powered by a low voltage battery and come with a safety system that will shut them off in the unlikely event of a water leakage on the jacket.
FALL DETECTION SYSTEM
The PYKRS Jacket includes smart electronics that will detect any severe fall and send an alert message or email using the app. That’s possible thanks to the inclusion of both a triple axis accelerometer and a Bluetooth chip-set on our batteries, to allow communication between the Jacket and the PYKRS app.
Whenever you fall, the jacket will detect it and based on the severity of the fall, it will automatically send an SOS alert to all the emergency contacts you previously uploaded into the PYKRS app. From the PYKRS app, you can get the location of the accident and get directions to that place.
REMOVABLE BATTERIES
The jacket comes with batteries used to power both the heating and lighting systems. They also include a temperature sensor, a LED light and a USB port to charge your phone.
On average, the batteries will ensure a continuous duration of 4h for the heating system and a continuous duration of 8h for the lighting system.
These batteries are easily found on each side of the jacket, at the back, near the kidneys area. This location makes them feel unperceived when wearing the jacket.
Besides, the batteries can be removed and used as separate phone chargers or as lanterns in case of need. They are easily rechargeable using any low voltage phone charger.

The PYKRS Jacket design is inspired by the greatest winter jackets. However, it’s been conceived so you don’t need a different jacket for skiing, hiking and commuting!

TOP QUALITY & SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
If you are concerned about the environmental impact of your new jacket but you do not want to compromise on quality, technology and functionality, you’re in the right place!
From day one, we knew the PYKRS jacket had to be made with materials not only from top awarded suppliers such as BenQ, YKK or Thermore; but also from recycled sources manufactured with sustainable processes.
THE FABRIC (OUTER LAYER)
Our Xpore® outer layer is not only fully waterproof, windproof and ultra lightweight, it’s also made of 100% recycled polyester and includes a membrane with a nano-porous technology that prevents water coming into the garment while letting moisture (sweat) go out.
SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF THE FABRIC
The manufacturing process of this fabric is among the least polluting in the world, since no chemicals, PFCs or DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatments are required for production.
THE PADDING (MIDDLE LAYER)
Our middle layer (padding) is also made with recycled materials. On average a PYKRS jacket is made out of 10x PET plastic bottles.
This mid-layer, although very thin, has one of the highest warmth to weight ratio, keeping you fully insulated despite the outdoor weather conditions. It’s also characterized by a very soft feel to human touch and includes an anti-peeling technology exclusive to Thermore™ , one of the leading suppliers of technical fibers for outdoor apparel.
But the description of our jacket’s materials doesn’t end there. We also use YKK™ Aquaguard® and Aqueseal® fully waterproof zippers on all our outer pockets as well as high end recycled taffeta lining on the jacket’s interior.
