Farewell North

Farewell North started as a solo indie project being developed in my free time, outside of having a full time job as a software developer. I started development on the game after moving to Scotland in early 2020 with ambitions to do all kinds of traveling, only for the pandemic to hit and find myself in lockdown. Instead of exploring the highlands with my wife and our two chihuahuas in person as planned, I started to create this game using inspiration from those travel plans to craft the game world!

In late 2020, John Konsolakis joined the project as the composer. With John on board we're building an intricate and adaptive score for Farewell North that will bring the game to a whole new level. You can check out John's prior work at johnkonsolakis.eu

I would describe the game as an open world exploration game with a hint of stealth and puzzle elements mixed in. Some games that I've taken inspiration from include Journey, The First Tree and Flower.

Your best bet is to join the Discord as that's where I post the most up-to-date information about the game.

Right now I'm focused on the PC and Console versions of the game. There are no plans for mobile or VR version.
